"Squid Game" Director reveals 2nd season plot Netflix comments on potential 3rd season.

Director Hwang Dong Hyuk creator of world famous TV sensation “Squid Game” and Netflix have commented on their plans for future seasons of the hit series.

In an interview with KBS on December 28th, Hwang Dong Hyuk announced that “Squid Game” will not only return for season 2 but a potential season 3.

“I’m currently in the middle of discussions with Netflix about season 2 and 3. I think we’ll reach some sort of conclusion soon. We know people are waiting, so everyone is working hard to prepare for the next season with an optimistic outlook.”

Hwang Dong Hyuk also revealed what the base plotline would be for season 2 :

“The focus will be the story of Seong Gi Hun (played by Lee Jung Jae) as he unravels everything. The plotline of season 2 will be the people Gi Hun meets and the people he chases after.”

A Netflix official addressed and told Edaily :

“It’s true that we are discussing a wide variety of possibilities for ‘Squid Game,’ including the production of a Season 3, but nothing has yet been set in stone.”
